Our Lawn

Ryan and I spent a lot of time doing yard work this year.  He planted grass seed toward the end of May.  By the end of June we were able to start mowing.  I found out that mowing grass is my favorite chore to do around the house.  Growing up in California we had Gardner's.  I look forward to mowing the grass next year when the weather turns nice again.  In fall Ryan was able to do some electrical work for some trees.  We planted some aspens and cottonwoods.  I look forward to seeing the leaves bloom on our trees in spring.

Time Flies By...

Summer went by way to fast as it always does here in Teton Valley.  One tries to cram as much into the couple summer months we have.  Ryan and I did plenty of camping and hiking.  

Just barley into September I received a phone call from my aunt.  It was a family emergency that sent me off to San Diego, CA for over two weeks.  She went into brain surgery the day after I arrived.  She cam out of the surgery great.  I was so happy I was able to spend those weeks with my aunt.  Ryan flew down for part of the time.  Then we returned home to an Indian Summer that lasted through the first week of November that came to a sudden halt.  Now there is snow on the ground and the leaves have fallen to kick off winter.

My parents will be coming here for Thanksgiving.  I'm so excited that they are coming.  This will be my first time cooking for Thanksgiving.  Im going to enjoy being able to do all the cooking with my mom!  I just hope it isn't going to be too cold of an experience for them.  I hope they will be willing to come back again during our colder months.
